Just look at all the pink beacons!
I am excited to announce that there are 23 events in various stages of planning across Canada! 18 events have already been posted on the website.
Yellowknife, the winner of last year’s Most Female-Pilot-Friendly Airport Worldwide and Peterborough, last year’s second runner up, are gearing up to defend their titles. Several contenders are gearing up to take one of the top three spots!
There is the potential for almost 3,000 Canadian girls and women to experience the magic of their first flight in a small airplane – on one day!
While most of the events involve discovery flights, some do not. For example, at Pembroke, there will be a special ‘Evening with Women of Aviation’ and in Hamilton, the First Canadian Ninety-Nines will unveil their new museum display. Browse the website to read about all of the events.
