Full of aviation history and home to some of the greatest airplane manufacturers and aviation museums, Washington State is now home to two week long Women Of Aviation Week events!
The Museum of Flight in Seattle will feature women pilot themed educational programming throughout the entire week. Special days will also include an Aerospace Community Resource Fair, Army helicopter display with pilot meet and greet, a concert and much more! Girls and women who have not flown in small aircraft before are invited to participate in the Fly it Forward challenge on Saturday, March 9th and Sunday, March 10th for free flights.
The pilots of Twisp Municipal Airport pride themselves in being a welcoming and friendly and are thrilled to bring the opportunity of flight to the girls and women of their community. Dedicated pilots will be at the airport to fly eligible ladies for 5 hours each day and all weekend! Ladies curious about aviation are also invited to join Twisp pilots for their weekly BBQ that Friday evening!
Whether flying over the Puget Sound or soaring near the Cascade Mountains, Washington state has something to offer every future pilot during Women Of Aviation Week!
