After attaining her commercial pilots licence in Sydney, Australia, Karin Juergensen worked for 14 years in general aviation. The work included scenic flights, mail runs, working for one of the regional airlines in Australia as well as 5 years flying for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Since 2005, Juergensen have been an international airline pilot based in Hong Kong and is currently working as a Training Captain A320/1.
For 10 years, she was also involved in the Airline’s Safety Department as a Flight Data Analyst.
In addition, Juergensen has been a long term mentor for the Cathay Dragon Aviation Certificate Programme nurturing future talents for the aviation industry.
She earned a Master’s Degree in Science and Technology in Aviation at the UNSW, Sydney, Australia.
Her passion at present is to contribute making aviation a more gender equitable workplace.
